Linda Hunt stars as Henrietta “Hetty” Lange in NCIS: Los Angeles. Hunt is best known for herperformance as male character Billy Kwan in "The Year of Living Dangerously,” for which she received an Academy Award for best supporting actress. 

Linda Hunt has played a diverse range of characters in film, theater and television. She began her theatrical career more than 30 years ago performing roles in plays by Shakespeare, Strindberg, O’Neill and Tennessee Williams. Her other stage appearances include the title role in "Mother Courage and Her Children," Wallace Shawn’s "Aunt Dan & Lemon," "The Cherry Orchard", "The Matchmaker" and “End of the World,” for which she received a Tony award nomination.

Linda’s film credits include “Popeye,” "Stranger Than Fiction," "Twenty Bucks," "Prêt a Porter," "Kindergarten Cop," "Waiting for the Moon," "She-Devil," "Silverado," "The Bostonians" and David Lynch’s "Dune." Hunt also voiced Grandmother Willow in the animated feature "Pocahontas."

Hunt’s television credits include her role as Rose in the television movie “Basements,” as well as her guest-starring roles on “Hallmark Walk of Fame,” “Space Rangers,” “Carnivale,” "Without a Trace," "The Unit" and "The Practice."
