Cinnamon Granola

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats (I use Bob's Red Mill gluten-free)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (pecans are best because they lend a very buttery flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup creamy almond butter
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt (optional, but slightly enhances flavor)
  • If you or your child can't tolerate nuts, than this recipe can easily be made nut-free & kid-friendly by using sunflower kernels instead of pecans and sunbutter instead of almond butter.
