Fire it up this fall

BY MARTIN AMADO ON SEPTEMBER 8TH, 2016

Fall is right around the corner, and it’s a wonderful time to be outside. Here are some budget-friendly tips to create a comfy, cozy space to enjoy with your family and friends when the weather turns cool.

Fire pits create a welcome focal point for any social gathering and are a great way to keep your guests nice and warm. There are so many options to choose from at a price for most any budget. You can build your own fire pit or purchase a pre-built one from any home improvement or home goods store. There are many portable options made from different materials and in all shapes and sizes. It’s best to set a portable fire pit on a natural surface like concrete, gravel brick, slate or other fire-resistant material. Make sure to follow all safety and installation instructions and select an area away from trees and scrubs. Some communities require that you set up at a minimum distance from your house and neighbors’ yards.

Use furnishings to complete your space with stylish but durable seating like Adirondack chairs and comfy pillows made out of weather-resistant fabric and finishes. Add some blankets, side tables and torches to make it even cozier.

So get out there and enjoy the season! Cheers!
