Clé Bennett plays the role of Detective Derek Nolan in “Private Eyes.”
Bennett is a two-time Gemini Award winner, having received honors for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for “The Line” and Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries for “Guns.”
The versatile performer's credits range from “Barney's Version” to featured roles in several productions, including “Rookie Blue,” “Arrow,” “Lost Girl,” and “Flashpoint,” for which he received an ACTRA Award nomination for Outstanding Male Performance.
In 2012, Bennett made his professional theater debut on the Soulpepper stage, with his critically-acclaimed portrayal of four characters in “Kim's Convenience” – winner of the Toronto Critics Award for Best Canadian Play and Dora Award nominee for Best New Play.
Bennett has also received a ReelWorld Film Festival Trailblazer Award for his spearheading contributions to the multicultural growth of the industry.
Bennett maintains a prolific voice-over résumé, having lent his voice to several major ad campaigns for clients such as Coca-Cola, Ford and Wrigley; and also animated programs, including the Total Drama franchise, “Mother Up!” and the upcoming “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” animated series.
